Buyers' Agent Introduction

Buyers' agents/advisors use expert knowledge and skills to efficiently locate and purchase property that best matches their buyer's needs and financial goals, with typically only minimal demands made on the buyer's time and energy.

REIWA's buyers' agent course aims to help participants develop and refine the skills needed to successfully represent buyers in the purchase of property. Successfully orchestrating this process requires exemplary communication skills, a great deal of empathy and an ability to deal with buyer demands and anxieties in an affable manner.

Course Overview

 

 

The art of working closely with the buyer through active, open and regular communication over many months is a key focus of the course. This course also covers technical skills such as techniques for profiling the buyer's housings needs and life circumstances, researching and evaluating properties, the development of comprehensive property reports and examines ways in which different agencies formulate fee structures and service agreements.

Content
The course covers every step in the process including:

  • liaising with prospective buyers to respond to their concerns, provide information and establish rapport
  • profiling the buyer, their housing needs and life circumstances
  • establishing service agreements
  • searching for and identifying appropriate properties
  • evaluating property from price, investment, amenity and structural perspectives
  • negotiating sales to secure the best price and sale conditions
  • overseeing settlement

    Certification
    Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be entitled to receive a Certificate of Attendance to recognise their participation and for their elective Compulsory PD points.
